TWIG

With lots of traveling and long rehearsal days months on end, we are finally  beginning to see all the hard work is starting to pay off for the soon to be performing  rock band we all dreamed of being. With a name quickly agreed on, Twig now has an  EP released and ready to show the city who we really are. Giving the band a new  approach to the scene with the new vocalist Karina Lagstrom, we are young, hungry,  and eager to make a great impression.

So far we've played smaller clubs throughout the Somerville/ Cambridge area like  Thunder Road, The Jungle, and The Middle East as well as being interviewed on  91.5FM WUML and WaveRadio Boston followed by a live performance of the latest  songs. Also recently making a name for ourselves in New Hampshire playing multiple  shows at “Jewel'' music venue in Manchester. With lots of support and feedback  from the debut EP we are excited to be recording our new soon to be released singles,  recording it live at PinkNoise Studios we have a total of four songs currently available.  The first song “Wondering” a down and dirty rock n roll anthem, “Boozehound'' a  punchy punk rock banger, “Want you” is a sleek, sexy, and weird song of lust and  “Lone Babe'' a bluesy, hypnotic, unique yet eerily familiar experimental track.

Our music is currently available on all streaming services and the album will be released as a full EP in 2022, then will begin the first tour shortly after (which is now on  standby due to the pandemic), meanwhile having music videos currently being put  together to help promote our work.

Singer Karina Lagstrom, 27, from south of Boston sang as soon as she talked and  started writing songs and poetry around the age of 5, continuing to do so  consistently. She grew up on Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Nirvana and  Evanescence, citing the ladder as an early vocal influence. From age 16 on (“as  soon as I could drive myself to band auditions,”she chuckles), she has played in a  few different bands around the south shore. Karina is also a self taught guitarist. She finally found the right group in February 2019, calling themselves Twig.

24 year old Joe Florance plays bass in Twig. He began playing bass at age 14 and  knew immediately that he loved to play. He is mainly influenced by classic rock and

metal from the 70’s and 80’s - Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and deep purple. He  enjoys incorporating the classics and their influences into new original rock n roll.

Richie Gonzales manages an electric range of genres of influences, beginning with  jazz and spanning the rock n roll genre to include the classics and modern rock. His  biggest influences include Ginger Baker of Cream, Max Roach and Bernard Purdie. At  24 years of age he excels past his years of experience and elevates Twig to a higher  level.

Guitarist Danny Norwood, 25 years old from Peabody, began playing guitar at age 12  and taking private lessons. He is currently seeing the same teacher. His influences vary  from all different genres such as blues, surf rock, and rock n roll. Some of his biggest  influences include Freddy King, Jimmy Page, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash and Eddy Van  Halen. Danny has been working with Twig’s bassist and drummer for over 2 years now  and the three had been waiting until February 2019 to find their singer, and that was  when Twig was born.

With lots to look forward to, Twig has released their first EP March 2020 followed by  some singles that will soon be released this year 2022. The four songs are available  on all music platforms as well with a full music video to promote the first song on the  EP “wondering” filmed and produced by DFJ Media. Following up with an EP release  show for their new music, they have all agreed to hit the road and tour the states.
